| The DU® Series 600 and 7000
systems contain software for the determination of the absorption
spectra of a wide variety of samples. This can be accomplished in
either the RediScan™ mode or Wavelength Scanning mode. With the DU
Series 600, a sample may be scanned at rates up to 2400 nm/minute
and a printout obtained of the spectrum. The DU Series 7000 acquires
a scan in just 0.1 second. The RediScan mode can be entered while
the instrument is set up for another analysis without disturbing it.
The user can then return to the previous assay window.
The Wavelength Scanning mode is a more comprehensive, full-
featured analytical mode that allows the user to collect and store
spectra for later reformatting and for calculations to be made. Data
can be displayed in both graphical and tabulated formats with up to
12 scans overlaid simultaneously.
Features
- Data may be taken in Absorbance or Transmittance.
- Five scan speeds are provided: 120, 240, 600, 1200, 2400
nm/minute (DU Series 600 only).
- Up to 12 repetitive scans can be made on a sample set.
- 1st through 4th derivatives can be calculated and displayed
using the Savitzky-Golay method.
- Log10 A plot available.
- Stored spectra can be added, subtracted or multiplied.
- Scatter Correction feature allows a spectrum of the scatter
component to be subtracted from the sample spectrum.
- Expansion, contraction of either axis, zoom, trace and
annotation for customizing plotted data.
- Net A can be determined by clicking on analytical and one or
two background wavelengths in a spectrum (net A2, net A3).
- Up to 30 peaks and 30 valleys can be picked.
- Point pick tabulates data at up to 12 user selected
wavelengths.
- "Autoprint" prints each spectrum after data collection is
complete.
- "Autosave" saves each spectrum to a file after it is taken.
- Up to 12 scans may be overlaid on the display.
- Cell match function provides automated zero correction of
multiple cells.
