The Protein Analysis system contains
programs for calculating protein concentration with the most
commonly used assay methods, such as:
- Bradford
- Lowry (High and Low Sensitivity)
- Biuret
- Direct UV at 280 nm
- Colloidal Gold
- Bicinchoninate (BCA)
- User-Defined Wavelength
The calibration curve is computed as a least-squares fit to a
straight line if three or more standards are used. Without having to
rerun the standards, the user may select from linear, zero or
non-zero intercept or non-linear, non-zero intercept.
Statistical analysis is performed on the standard curve data and
the user can rerun, add or delete any standards, and recalculate the
standard curve. The coefficients for the curve and sample data can
be stored in separate files in the instrument. When the calibration
curve coefficients are already known, they may be entered without
the need to rerun the standards.
Features
- Linear curve fit with zero or non-zero intercept.
- Non-linear curve fit, non-zero intercept.
- Use of up to 30 standard values (in duplicate or triplicate,
if desired) for standard curve generation.
- Individual rerun or editing of out-of-range standards.
- Calibration curve coefficients may be entered without the need
to rerun standards.
- Optimal wavelength for each method is preselected.
- Up to three sample replicates can be run with mean and
coefficient of variation calculated and displayed with outliers
flagged.
- Statistical analysis of sample data; variance and r2.
- Dilution correction for calculated concentrations of diluted
samples.
- Printouts available for methods, standard curve data
(tabulated and plotted), and sample data.
- Method parameters, standards calibration data and sample data
can be stored in separate files in the instrument for easy recall
and use.
- Cell match function provides automated zero correction of
multiple cells.
