Software)
The software features popular sedimentation and equilibrium analysis
methods as well as simulation modules, utilities, and editing modules
with support for velocity and equilibrium experiments, single and
multi-channel centerpieces, absorbance and interference optics. All
algorithms are highly optimized for speed and memory usage, allowing for
inclusion of an unlimited number of data sets.
All analysis modules provide postscript output for
publication-quality graphs as well as ASCII formatted data, suitable for
import into third-party plotting programs.
The software features a modern, integrated and user-friendly
X-windows/UNIX* graphical user interface. Precompiled binaries are
available for DEC Alpha* (OS/F 4), Sun* Sparc (Solaris 7), SGI* Irix
(5.x and 6.x), Intel* ix86 PC's (Linux libc and glibc2) as well as for
the Macintosh* platform (Linux-PPC*).
