The flexible, open architecture of Biomek® FXP and Biomek® NXP allows for integrations of a wide range of incubators and storage systems. Our third party Cytomat® incubators and storage systems, as well as Biomek FXP and Biomek NXP Stacker Carousels provide excellent environmental conditions for incubation, storage and hybridization in the integrated systems. The standalone and integrated Cytomat® 2C automated incubator, Cytomat® 6001 automated incubator, and Cytomat® Microplate Hotel storage systems are distributed and supported by Beckman Coulter, guaranteeing superior world-class service and support.

Integration FAQs

|
1. When to choose short ALPs vs. long ALPs?
To enable a range of system configurations, the Cytomat® ALP is available in both Long and Short versions. Both versions include a bar code reader to ensure positive labware identification and sample tracking. The Short Cytomat® ALP is used when a compact system footprint is desired. It can be placed on the left side of any system, or the right side of a Biomek NXP (Multichannel or Span-8 with gripper), or either single or dual Multichannel Pod Biomek FXP systems. The Short Cytomat ALP® may not be used on the right side of a Biomek FXP Dual MC/Span-8 Hybrid system.
The Long Cytomat® ALP is used on the right side of the Biomek FXP Dual MC/Span-8 Hybrid system, as well as on the left side of any system that incorporates an integrated DTX Reader or PARADIGM Detector Platform. The Long Cytomat® ALP provides enough space next to the Biomek to incorporate these readers into a compact, highly capable assay platform. The Long Cytomat® ALP may also be used in cases where an environmental enclosure around the Biomek requires a longer conveyor than otherwise would be needed.
